Are fundamentalists really modern day Pharisees?
Some is literal and some is symbolic, but with basic biblical hermeneutics you can easily determine which is which. but there is a happy medium, you my friend are at extreme left on this and on the right are your fundamentalist. so you are no better in your reasoning.
