Do you think caregivers should make minimum wage?

I'm a nanny in a city and have always been paid at least 10 dollars an hour, I thought that was pretty standard until I came on here and found people asking how much they should charge and getting responses like 2 - 5 dollars per hour, which I think is insane. It takes a special type of person to work with children all day and be loving, supportive, responsible and reliable and it irritates me when I see people belittling, underpaying or taking advantage of childcare providers.. I can understand getting paid 5-6 dollars an hour if you're between 12-15 but after 16 y/o the parents should always pay at least minimum wage.
