How do I report horse abuse/neglect in my area?

Call your local news channel. If the police wont do their job, call in on all of it. The sheriff department has jurisdiction for whatever county you are in. As long as you have a sheriff in your county, they can come out, even if it is smack dab in the middle of town. I used to work for our local police department, and the sheriff dept was the one that usually came to my house if I had a problem, and I live inside city limits. Seriously, file a complaint and call the news if no one does anything. Go ahead and call the ASPCA for your area as well. Someone will do something. Raise all kinds of heck with them, they will get off their lazy bottoms and do something. Go up there everyday, sooner or later, they will get tired of you and come on out. Good luck. Too bad you aren't near Houston Texas, they take it more seriously out there. I lived 40 miles from Houston a while back. Our little town (Brookshire) was on the show Animal Cops Houston due to horse neglect out there. You just stay on them and eventually, hopefully not too late, somebody somewhere will do something.
