Is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser supposed to be watery?

I just bought a HUGE 500ml pump bottle of cetaphil cleanser for a really cheap price ($10). Now that i use it, it comes out all cleary white and watery. It kinda looks like melted jelly and on my face it feels like sorbolene cream mixed with water. Does this mean its overdue or something? It felt normal after i washed it all off; like i didnt wash my face at all. Help? Never used this type of cleanser before. What also confuses me is that it doesnt lather, have bubbles or unclog pores :S But at least no chemicals :) Thanks!!
