Do You Get Annoyed When Protagonists (Mainly Female) Say...?

Trust me! I hate it as much as you do. But it's just continuing the stereotype that all women are less than worthy and only a man can make them a worthwhile person. And young girls who read/watch this stuff are indoctrinated in the idea that they really must question why any man would ever love them. The same thing is true in the adult romance movies. Or they do the reverse in things like Along Came Polly, where the strong woman saves the man. There's rarely if ever a couple where they are both secure and form the relationship from that basis. What sucks is they're continuing the idea that all women are insecure and must be grateful for any attention from a man! That's how you end up with people like Monica Lewinski.
