What is colloidal silica ? and what kind of use has it?

It is exactly what it implys... it has been used in everything from implant surgery to specialized protective gels protecting highly sentitive mechanical equipment. It is also used to help prevent muscle/joint strain and carpal tunnel syndrome... it use is pretty "open-ended." Have you just thought of one?
